This is a selection of images of Palestinian refugees, militants and their families, in both Palestine and Lebanon. The images are drawn from my travels to the region beginning with 2002 and 2003 to photograph the events of the 2nd Intifada.

A year after covering the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 2006, I returned to cover the fighting between the radical Palestinian militia Fatah Al-Islam and the Lebanese army. For more than 3 months these forces confronted each other inside the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr El-Bared in northern Lebanon. As a result of the war, the population of this camp had to flee to another camp named Badawi, where hundreds of families were forced to live inside two UMWRA schools.
